After a beautiful hot few days in the middle of June the weather turned and we and a few damp days and temperatures dropped. Despite this our bride, Emma, was in a happy and very calm mood as she prepared for her big day and her pending marriage to Daniel.
The venue was the St Michael & St James' Church in Linby. The reception followed at Papplewick Village Hall. This was chosen as the Emma & Daniel first got together in the Park outside the village hall.
The bride changed her mind close to the wedding andante some bridal preparation shots so we duly obliged and made the long journey (all 1 mile of it) to Emma's house. After that we took leisurely drive to the church and captured Daniel, who was a little nervous (I'm sure he won't mind me saying that) with his Best Man. We spoke to the vicar and he allowed some photography but insisted that the verger sat next to me so I wasn't intrusive. I must point out that Martelle are extremely respectful of every vicars wishes and we were able to grab one or ten shots from the back throughout the ceremony. The verger did try and distract me just as the first kiss took place...but we got it by having Ellen strategically placed in the congregation.
Afterwards we did the private shoot in the lovely park at Papplewick and they recreated their first moments together - on the swings. Daniel did get a little carried away but this just made Emma chuckle.
By the time the private shoot had finished all the guests, even the stragglers, had arrived at the venue and we went straight into the formals, which the bride had asked for. We had fun with the guests and as it was overcast and a cold chilly wind had built up the bride was kept warm with a soft fleece blanket whilst we got people into the right places. She was eternally grateful for this and it wasn't too long before we had everyone inside for the speeches and wedding breakfast. After that it was pretty much all indoors and we thoroughly enjoyed watching everyone celebrate the wedding of Emma & Daniel. The first dance was set to Bryan Adams' Everything I Do...I do it of for you which was very poignant for the couple and had many of the family members and guests in tears.
Anyway...here's a few from the day.....
