It is sometimes called photo-journalistic but we refer to it as capturing the story of your day, as it unfolds. It is a lot more natural and much less posed, although we do capture some posed shots, but generally it is that laugh, that look, that moment which tells a story in itself. When you put together a complete day in photos you will find it is much easier to recall each and every moment captured.
A lot of wedding photographers will stop the day for about an hour or so to take formal, group shots and poses. We can do that if you ask us to but generally we don't so it. This gives you the maximum time with your guests and not having everyone standing around, with glasses of beer/wine, Uncle Jack keeping everyone waiting as he's nipped to the loo. This part of your day can be very frustrating for your guests you and even the photographer. It also allows us to capture those loving moments between you and your family as well as the love you share for each other.
...........and that is Reportage in a nutshell. If you have any questions about this please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss thing more with you.
Let some pictures tell you as well.....
